What a wonderful find La Finestra sul Massimo was!

The location was ideal – on Piazza Verdi – literally behind the Teatro Massimo – Palermo’s Opera House.

From Piazza Verdi you can walk to many places of interest in Palermo – between the new and the old town.

The B&B is on the first floor – you can ride up in the small cage elevator or take the steps.

We received a very warm welcome from the charming owners who gave us a map of the city and made recommendations for dinner. The Reception area is very cheerful with a red theme.

Reception

Our Room – Aida
Our bedroom was spacious with two French doors to two little balconies – one little balcony overlooked the Opera House and the other overlooked the trees and street vendors on Via Volturno.

Our beautiful room was furnished with:

  • Queen bed and bedside tables and lamps
  • Single bed
  • Sofa
  • Small desk
  • Wardrobe with mirror
  • Luggage rack
  • Split system air conditioner

Bathroom
Each room has its own bathroom however it is separate from the room – just a few steps away. The bathroom includes a toilet, bidet, shower and hand basin. There are plenty of hooks and a little stool in the bathroom.

Toiletries are supplied and include soap, shampoo and shower gel. There is also a hairdryer.

Wifi in the room was a little unreliable during our visit.

A delicious Sicilian breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the charming breakfast room which overlooks the Opera House.

Highly Recommended
We can highly recommend a stay at La Finestra sul Massimo. It has an excellent location with charming, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms and friendly hosts.
